# Drobe

> Drobe is a Norwegian luggage brand that reinvents the wardrobe trunk for modern travel. The Drobe Cabin is a carry-on suitcase that stands upright and opens from one button on its handlebar: press and lift, and its compartments rise into stacked shelves for folded clothes, while pull-out hanger rods on each side hold garments on hangers, so travellers live out of it instead of unpacking. Designed and assembled by hand to order in Oslo. Patent pending. Winner of three international design awards.

## Features
### Opening and packing
- The Cabin opens vertically into three stacked levels, each a shelf for folded clothes.
- A control plate on the leather handlebar holds one button, a mode slider and a three-dial combination lock.
- A padlock in the slider window shows the mode: red and closed for Handle control, green and open for Suitcase control.
- On Handle control the button releases the telescopic handle; on Suitcase control it releases the wardrobe, which opens only with the handle down.
- To open, slide to Suitcase control, press and hold the button and lift by the handlebar; the sections rise on the rail system and click into place on both sides.
- The top compartment has its own lid, which opens with the handle at full height and the slider on Suitcase control.
- For hanging, the handle rises to full height and hanger rods pull out from both ends of the handlebar, holding 3 to 4 garments on hangers on each side.
- Open or closed, the Cabin stands on the same floor space.
### Build and materials
- Shell: high-impact ASA, pigmented through the full thickness so the colour never chips or wears off; UV-stable and impact-resistant; not aluminium.
- Frame: precision-milled aluminium with a sandblasted, matte anodised finish; rigid, lightweight and corrosion-proof, with aluminium corner caps.
- Rail system: anodised aluminium rails at each side of the case guide the compartments open and closed; patent pending (patent application filed).
- Carry handle: full-grain Italian leather in cognac, hand-stitched and vegetable-tanned, from a Tuscan tannery.
- Side handle: Italian full-grain leather, attached with four snap buttons.
- Interior: two removable Alcantara® floors from Italy in every trunk.
- The shells are made in Oslo, and every trunk is assembled by hand in Oslo.
### Lock, handle and wheels
- The TSA-accepted lock is Travel Sentry® Approved: security staff can open, inspect and relock it with their own key without damage.
- The lock sits flush in the top handle, so it never snags.
- You set your own three-digit code and no key is supplied; with the dials turned away from your code, the wardrobe and lid cannot be opened, but the handle still works for rolling.
- Telescopic handle: pull up to roll, push down to store.
- Four spring-dampened double wheels (eight wheels in total) in translucent polyurethane on dual-bearing housings.
### Modular and repairable
- Shell sections, wheels, handles, floors, the lock and rail components can each be replaced on their own.
- The floors attach and detach in seconds, the side handle swaps in under a minute, and the wheels change with standard hex tools.
- Spare parts can be added when ordering the Cabin or bought later at drobeluggage.com/accessories/: wheel set €50 in six colours (one set fits one Cabin), Alcantara® floors €55 for a set of two, leather side handle €45.
- A wheel set in another colour changes the look of the trunk.
- Owners request a repair from their Drobe Members page or by email to support@drobeluggage.com.
### Ownership and service
- The lifetime guarantee covers manufacturing defects and component failures under normal use for as long as the original registered owner owns the case.
- Covered: frame and shell, rails, wheels and axles, handles, TSA lock and compartments. For a covered defect Drobe offers a suitable solution, including free replacement parts, repair instructions or a replacement.
- Not covered, among others: cosmetic wear, misuse, impact, drops or overloading, airline or carrier damage, water exposure, products altered outside Drobe, commercial use, lost or stolen items, and normal wear of wheels and Alcantara® floors; every part is available as a replacement at workshop cost.
- Guarantee claims: email support@drobeluggage.com with the order number and photos, or use Request a Repair in Members.
- Statutory rights apply on top (Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act and the consumer law of the buyer's country): a complaint can be made up to 2 years after delivery, or 5 years for goods meant to last considerably longer.
- A Members account is created automatically with the first order (sign in with the order email or Google); it shows a 3D model of your exact trunk, its ownership card, the estimated delivery window and repair requests.
- Digital Tag: every Cabin has an NFC tag inside the leather carry handle. Once the owner has paired it, anyone who taps it with a phone sees the details the owner chose to show in Members and can leave the owner a note.
### Colours and customisation
- Six Originals: a Yellow, Red, Green, Blue, Orange or Black shell with matching wheels and a white middle.
- Custom Made: the top and base are always one colour together and the middle has its own colour; customers pick each from all seven colours: Blue, Orange, Green, Yellow, Red, White or Black. Wheels come in Blue, Orange, Green, Yellow, Red or Black (no White).
- Every trunk currently comes with brown Alcantara® floors and leather handles, and brown floors and side handles are in stock at drobeluggage.com/accessories/. The floors are also offered as spare parts in Blue, Green, Orange, Red, Yellow and Black, and the side handle in Blue, Green, Red, Yellow and Black; these colours are sold out at present.
- The product and Custom Made pages show your chosen colours as an interactive 3D model, open or closed.
### Buying and delivery
- Every trunk is built to order; nothing is made for stock. Each order gets an estimated delivery window when it is placed, and tracking is sent when it leaves the workshop.
- Payment is taken when the order is placed. If a delay is expected, Drobe tells the customer by email, and the customer may cancel for a full refund.
- Ships to most countries with DHL Express from Oslo, Delivered Duty Paid: Drobe pays import duties and taxes, so there is no customs bill on delivery. Shipping is added at checkout: a Cabin pays DHL Express shipping for the delivery address; accessories ship for a flat €15 in Europe and €35 elsewhere.
- Drobe does not yet deliver to Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia or Slovenia.
- Drobe does not deliver to Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba.
- The Cabin fits the carry-on limits of many airlines, including SAS, Lufthansa, British Airways and Norwegian; some allow less, including KLM, Air France, Korean Air, Ryanair, American Airlines, Delta and United. The product page lists the limits of more than 90 airlines. Check your airline.
- Payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Link, and Klarna in some countries.
- Before dispatch you can cancel free of charge, or ask to change the delivery address or payment method, by email to support@drobeluggage.com with your order number. After delivery, 14 days to withdraw, with a refund that includes the original standard delivery cost.
- Only the Cabin is available now. Check-In M and Check-In L are in development, and limited editions are planned; none of these is on sale yet.
